Day 1 Panel Discussion:
The General Divide - How to Get Multi-Generations to Work Effectively with One Another


Dr. Taneisha Ingleton is a Competency Framework Consultant, Educational Leadership Researcher and Facilitator, Leadership Development Programme Writer and Designer. She earned her PhD at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Her scholarly writing, her experiences and her dissertation research have focused significantly on leadership development. Prior to her Master of Philosophy degree, she had completed her undergraduate Degree and post graduate diploma from the University of the West Indies [UWI], Jamaica with First Class Honours and Distinction respectively.

Her areas of research and teaching include educational leadership, educational policy and planning, instructional leadership and school improvement. She is an individual consultant to the Ministry of Finance and Public Service for the development of the Public Sector Competency Framework. Dr. Ingleton has also taught at the High School, Undergraduate, Masters and PhD levels in Canada and Jamaica.

As Director of Programmes with specific responsibility for System and School Development & Capacity Building, Dr. Ingleton was instrumental in the expansion of the Effective Principals’ Training Programme to regional education sectors such as the British Virgin Islands and Anguilla. In 2014 and 2015, she co-led a group of 8 Jamaican leadership consultants and trainers to deliver said programmes.

Under Dr. Ingleton’s leadership of the Programmes Division, she successfully led the design of the University and College Leadership Training Programme, School Financial Management and Administrative Training Programme and the Executive Leadership Training Programme.

She was also instrumental in the development of proposals that resulted in the College receiving a grant from the OAS/ITEN, and an award from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) for innovation in leadership development initiatives.


In May /June 2015, she was a member of the delegation from the Ministry of Education in Malaysia. She had specific responsibility for investigating strategies to design, develop and implement the System Leadership for School Improvement Programme. Dr. Ingleton is an excellent conceptualizer, an ardent researcher who has examined issues on Leadership Development, Student Leadership, Culture and Language, the Principalship and School Effectiveness. She is a certified Performance Coach, a motivational and sought after keynote speaker on matters relating to leadership and leadership development, creating a culture of continuous improvement, authenticity and personal and professional advancement.
